Mid-Wessex Orthodontics holds an NHS contract with Wiltshire NHS to carry out orthodontic treatment for patients under 18 years of age.  Eligibility for NHS treatment will be assessed – only patients with severe problems such as protruding upper teeth or impacted teeth are eligible for NHS treatment.

We also offer treatment on a private basis.  Our “Confidence Range” provides affordable brace treatment for patients under 18 years.  Bespoke private treatment is available to adult patients and we use the latest invisible braces.

Emergency appointments

Emergencies are rare during orthodontic treatment.  However, if you have any concerns regarding your brace, please call the practice and we will arrange an appointment as soon as we are able (usually the same day or the following day).  If you have a problem outside of the practice opening hours, please leave a message on the answerphone and we will contact you.  You can also call the NHS helpline on 111.

Patient confidentiality

We take patient confidentiality extremely seriously and all personal information is treated in the strictest confidence.  Only members of staff have access to patient information and we have a strict confidentiality policy.  However, occasionally we have to release information to the NHS Business Service Authority as part of our ongoing clinical review process.

Patient feedback

Mid-Wessex Orthodontics welcomes feedback from patients and visitors to the practice.  Communication from patients is very important to us and feedback helps the practice to grow and maintain a good service for our patients.  Feedback forms are available in the waiting room or ask at reception.

Complaints Procedure

We aim to make your experience at the practice as pleasurable as possible.  However, should you have any complaints, please contact the practice manager on 01722 340034 who will be able to deal with your complaint and talk you through our procedure.  Alternatively, a copy of our complaints procedure is on display in our waiting room and you can ask for a copy at reception.
